The dynamism of the parish confirms also a repaired parsonage and a lively building activity on the parsonage yard. How did it all begin?
The devastated parsonage was returned to the parish at the beginning of 1990. An aim of "Architect" of the last regime was to demolish the personage in course of time and to asphalt on its original place a sort of monstrous entry in the local area of blocks of flats. This fortunately did not take place-quite contrary. Thanks to the government assistance and gifts from Germany the parsonage was in 1993 successfully repaired and put into operation.
The church itself underwent a fundamental reconstruction already in 1984.
An idea to utilize a vast parsonage yard for the construction of a new parish and a charity centre arouse during 1995. The finance for the new objects was then provided by the German foundation RENOVABIS, which also provided a basic financial gift. Further sources were given by the parish and also by other donors. A spiritual father of the scheme is our deacon Václav Vaněk, without whose effort and persistence the construction would never have even started. The construction itself started in 1997. The pope John Paul II sanctified the foundation stone in the same year. During his spring visit to Czech republic.
